View Full Version : UV polygroups not loading?

i'm trying to load an imported obj mesh from maya, which i have uvmapped, however after importing it in zbrush, the uv poly groups don't seem to exist. really confused about this, and would appreciate if anybody could help. thx

Im messing around with these little suckers as well today and having probs. It took me a couple of hours to discover that pressing shhift and F shows groupcolours in veiwport.
Sorry if this is 2 simple an answer and u know this already.

did you put your uvs from 0-1, 1-2, 2-3 and so on in maya? otherwise you wont see any uvgroups in zbrush.

i've put them all in 0-1 only. is would that be causing the problem? anywayz thz for the quick replies, will try fiddling with it again.

hmm... ok i guess u just got to split all the ur uv divisions into separate locations. one group in 0-1, one in 1-2, 1-3, ect... it works now. however this limits me to only 4 maximum uv groups. what about objects with complex uv's?

there is no such limit as 4 groups. you can put them from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 6-7 and so on.
