View Full Version : Last Unwrap Tools for max?

Hello,

I'm looking for the last and most useful unwrap tools for max.
I used a maxscript to minimize uv distortion (from http://www.microcan.nl/) (http://www.microcan.nl/%29), unwrap modifier and texporter. I've seen that in that site there is another new tool (Flatten 3D).
And I have also heard about ultimate unwrap 3D and Pelt Mapping.
But I wonder if there is another which is better.

Do you know of any other? Is there any experienced which could tell me which one is nowadays the best one?

why dont u try "MODO" .U can get the evaluation version on luxology.com

Thank you for your answer, but MODO is a 3d software itself if I'm not wrong, what I'm looking for is a tool for max.

well if you are using max8 than pelt mapping will make your life much easier..

apart from that there are a couple of other maxscripts and plugins(free ones) that you can
use to do stuff faster..
namely :1- UV toolsV3(a quicker way for Unwarpping in max..just abunch of buttons with some cool functions) get it from here

2- Turbounwrap beta...(a modified version ofthe max's unwarap modifier but with many other option,minus pelt mapping)

3- LSCM Unwrap : dirty- but quick pelt mapping tool...Good for pre-max 8 version
