poll / show off your work

fine since every one seems a little shy, ill start ive been done 3d for about half a year in my spare time, which is little to none and heres a pic of my latest project http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=32964

I'v been doing 3D since I was in grade 10 high school,1998. I worked on a HORRIBLE program called extreme 3d. The next year I worked with Strata 3D and 3D StudioMax 2.5. After that I discoverd C4D and have been using it ever since.

On Jan, 02, 2003, I will be starting at VFS for there 3d animation program. I can't wait!

Yeah im with you, i still got a year to wait before i get to go to a 3d program, but im already looking foward to it, dont quite know where im going to go though.... nice still by the way, is it a full animation?:beer:

I am "into" 3d for a week now :applause:

I haven't got anything cool yet, yeah I like animations, but that's al too simple ( a ball wich grows and grows and eventually explodes)

I will work, I will keep on asking ;)

i've been doing 3d for about 2 1/2 months now, on and off and this is the only project i finished... well needs a bit more tweaking
I dabbled in 3d studio max for one semester, but not modeling, just animating someones Star Wars ship for my short star wars fanfilm which you can see on my site:

Nope. It's just a still. Attualy, I cheated with him a little bit. The model is just a torso and gloves (no arms or legs here!) I created it for a contest on another forum about 2 years ago.

sick, ive been working on an ipod but im wondering what did u use to model the play , pause buttons etc.... cause i have quite got the right affect down yet

beechdbum - create a tube object, resize the middle so it looks like the shape it shoulde be, then make it editable, and then use smooth shift and move it a bit, drop it into hypernurbs and then you'll have to create cuts with the knife tool where the buttons go.

hm. that'd be quite a number of pics to show the one i like most of my work. the best is probably 'der schiefe krumm', the picture with the balloon.

i started 3d-ing in 1992 with pov-ray and moray, got over to highlight-pro and after that i bought truespace3.1. two ts3.1 renderings are shown on my 2d-website.

since the end of 2000 i got c4d-xl6. all of the work is presented in the 3d-section. my xl8bundle should arrive here the next days.

there is one advise i can give: don't let anyone take away your idea of a picture you work on. ask for ideas, for tips on how to optimize you work, let others express their ideas. take the tips that underline your intention and forget the suggestions that work against your very first idea. this will ensure that you learn how to use c4d and that is how you'll become an artist. keep an eye on your ideas.

ok so i started 3d when i was in grade 10...my first experience was in a pirated copy of truespace...i made a sphere...next came the wonderful world of a 3d program by macromedia called extreme3d...once again my crowning moment was another sphere...then i unleashed my powers on strata...a rendered sphere...i had a brief fling with mirai...and have touched bases with xsi...but my real acheivement has been a life altering experience created with c4d.... a cube....yes thats right my best work is a cube:applause: now you must all submit to me:D
oh and i almost forgot my relation to 3d is sick and demented sometimes we spend long sleepless nights together and .....ummm i'll stop now
