Very good work so far!

Please keep us updated on this, I personally cannot wait to see the finished render.

Great job!

Looks pretty sweet so far. I'm a huge mustang fan, I can't remember who mentioned the 69 Mach 1, but my Dad had one of those, and I am going to buy one soon as I'm outa school, too!

I can't wait to see the final render as well.

I wonder about the front end though....the concept looks like it resembles the Lincholn S model on the front, like a sedan of some kind. I'm just glad they're bringing back the 5.0!

Keep up the sweet work man.

:bounce:

ahh thanks guys,, I might have to have one of these new babies.

The new chassis is coming from the Lincoln LS and New Thunder Bird. One of the best things to do to this old school car.

The current chassis dates back to the mustang II from like 1976.
Smart move on there part.

I wonder how this car will handle. And wonder how lite it will be.

I might have to get one of these new ones, I've had old cars, and they are no good for daily driving. Unless it had major work but the old ones are know for having very COLD BLOOD.
__________
Not sure when I'll get back to work on this, kinda in the middle of a paying project. I'm Designing a Sports Car for Anole Automotive.
This makes everyday worth living, I met my goal, now onto the next one, driving my goal.

:airguitar

Thanks again guys.

Looks almost perfect. I have only ine crit. There's only the body of the car so I can see emptyness behind the front wheel. Try to model a chassis.
Besides that it's an awesome work!

No I don't work for Ford, But I'm a freelance car designer currently designing a exotic sports car, Beyond that I can't say much more, Soon as I can I'll let you guys see it.

Thanks guys, this thing needs quite a bit of work, but thought ya would like some color. I just ploped it into an existing scene, Applies some old materials, and hit render. =D

looking good EighthDecay, are you using your tutorial method for this one, or are you tring the sweep method?

EighthDecay
12-20-2002, 08:20 PM
Yeah I started with my usual method of lofts and CV point pulling.

Rest of the parts were Sweeps, around the front and rear.

The top was made with 3 surfaces and 4 curves, I made two on the top side edge that goes from rear c-piller to the front a-piller

then I made two curves for the outer sides of the top side just at the meeting point of the top half of the car and the bottom.

I then lofted across the top, then across the 2 sides, then merged the 3 surfaces, making a nice fillet like smoothness across the top.

I then split the bottom with the top and went from there with cutting windows out and such.

There was prolly some tweeking,, like adding weights to some of the CVs for a sharper curved edge..

Hope any of this makes sense. =D
