View Full Version : CgTalk Daily Sketch 651 THE 45 MINUTE SKETCH: "Trapped in a frozen wasteland"
RobertoOrtiz 03-18-2006, 01:40 PM OK we are going to do AN EXPERIMENT for the next few days...
You have 45, (count them 45!) minutes to do your sketch. The idea is that at the end of those 45 minutes you have to post your sketch in whatever form it is.
So bring out your sketcbook, and your watch, ill be watching you!
The idea of this exercise is to build up speed m so you may post as many DIFFERENT sketches as you want.
And by the way, to keep people in their toes, I will vary the LENGHT of time.

We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.
These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.
Good luck
-Roberto

Since I didn't do a St. Patty's day sketch, I thought I'd mix the two themes.
About, 30 minutes in Artrage 2.

Finally got my tablet up and running again. Hooray! Photoshop+Wacom-Just shy of 45 minutes... probably the same amount of time dealing with problems with photobucket. Does anyone know how to avoid blurry/pixely images like this V ? (my image size was under the limit, btw)

The idea was for someone to be trapped and spelling out help with snow. That effect didn't happen as I would of liked. Oh, well, it was fun.
Btw, FridayEve, I love all your sketches, they are very unique

about 45 minutes, might have gone over a couple of minutes for color correction.
I started on a couple of others before I made the above but weren't happy with where they were going. Might aswell share them though.
