We've added a new LightWave v9 Feature Video to the videos page:
http://www.lightwave3d.com/lw9_demos.php

The new video is Layout: APS - Pixel Per Polygon

That's great but you still need a 16bit tiff importer for both OSX and XP64. The primary usage of this new feature is for applying displacement maps. It's sad to have this new technology but then fail to provide the 16bit tiff importer. That's just too important to leave to someone in the community to come up with and port. NT should be taking the reigns.

Hell while you're at it, ZB can put out 32bit tiffs so.....

Where can we get the codec to view it? My Mac shows a white screen and my PC at work
says 'unsupported codec.' I already know its an AVI, but where can we find the software
needed to view it? In the future could NewTek at least provide a link to the codec or be consistent about which ones are used so we don't have to got hunting for it?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but no luck. Downloaded it instaled it, restarted and still no luck. Could someone please post a link to
the correct software needed to allow quicktime to work with these videos? Thanks!

The properties for the avi show the video track as "TechSmith EnSharpen" format (cmd-J in QT).
I'm using QT Pro 7.0.4, OS 10.4.5

If you can on Mac, download and install VLC media player. It plays anything.

I agree; I think both Newtek and it's user base would benefit greatly if Lightwave could handle 16 bit and 32 bit tiffs on OSX and XP64. There really is a demand for it.
