This is a Cover image I made for a magazine called "Tricolor" (its a magazine for children)
The main Theme was about our national flag and national symbols and i was asked to create a somewhat futuristic craft and they suggested the flag should go on the hood of the vehicle.
(Actually they said about painting the entyre vehicle like the flag, but I opted for a more cartoony vehicle where i could best adapt a national symbol rather than make a bad and rude paint job) I belive a car fully painted as the national flag isnt quite patriotic and is rather disturbing.

It was modeled using poligons and NURBS, and the final geometry is smoothed poligons (didnt use subdivitions this time) it was done in two days from concept to final image.

Hello Glen,


I like it! When the image appeared on my monitor I at once had a good vibe. I guess it comes from the facial expression that is both surprised and welcoming! I say it's a hit.

funny. My only crit would be about the face who seems a little flat.

I really like this. I think it was a good choice about how you delt with the flag. A whole car paintjob might have been over the top. His expression is warm and inviting, and even the car is smiling back at me . . . makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Hi Glenfx, me alegra ver gente de mi paiz en este foro y haciendo buenos trabajos, por mi parte las criticas son menores pero estoy seguro que con el tiempo iras puliendo la tecnica como yo lo hago tambien, el mes que viene regreso a Venezuela y tal vez podriamos reunirnos para hablar del tema, yo trabajo con 3d max pero a fin de cuenta las tecnicas son las mismas, saludos y 4 estrellas para tu trabajo.

Maybe learning a 3D program is worth it.
