Even if you can't finish in time;
I have to congratulate you for at least trying to ACTUALLY paint the characters unlike a few that prefer to take pictures of a good set of people, run it through a gallery filter and tell us that they actually "Quick-sketched" them with amazing lighting/volume.
I'm not sure of the building you included on the right side of the painted image to compare to the sketch actually... but I guess you wanted to increase some pressure.

I think in the last image you have managed to capture the pressure of how you can actually feel a crowd literally "choke" you as they come towards you.
It may be a good idea not to loose this.

Instead of making an obvious gate, have you also considered to just complete the image and then literally 'rip' into it? Or to pinch the image right there into a sort of tunnel?

Well just a variety of thoughts... You seem to have a LOT of work to do with the manner you are going to fill the canvas in. I wish you the best of luck and hope you can finish it as you wish to... in time that is.

The composition is impressive, try to push your values more, as everything appears to be more flat (you're probably planning to do this, just wanted to point it out in case :)

Very promising work, looking forward to updates.

Hi neverfailedtofail,
Your perspective is working well. Now all you need to do is add a Starbucks sign with a big line outside and.... Sorry couldn't resist. Seriously though, good prspective, now you need to start tightening everything up and pay attention to tonal value to add some depth..

black, thanks for your words.. yes i changed building on the right side for a tighter atmosphere and yes crowd feel is the main point.. i thought a obvious gate but pinching the image is good idea i will try that.

anticz and slick, you are right i have to work on values and depth..

thanks for the comments..
