I have just became a member of CGTalk and this is my first submission. I usually paint in oil or acrylics, but I will be creating my artwork for "The Journey begins" digitally in photoshop or painter(haven't decided yet). This should be a challenge indeed...
I am impressed by the number of submissions that look as though they are near completion!

Hi Eve,
welcome on board.
Your sketch looks completely good so far. I am strained on further pictures of you. Much luck and have fun.
Ciao,

Here is an idea for the general colour scheme of my picture. I am still working out the composition. This sketch has lost the feel of the original concept sketch, though that may be fixed when I paint the central character properly(and add an extra person. I am switching to pianter too. I am just learning the program and it seems so much easier to paint with in comparison with photoshop!

This sketch shows my composition change and I have added some extra elements to liven things up a bit (eg. more city background and other characters). Now I have to actually start the picture properly...

This image has been submitted as "line art" since it's the closest thing that I have to line art. This pic also shows my general colour scheme(minus the weird blue line in the sky). Even though I haven't done that much on the artwork I feel as though I have progressed alot in terms of learning how to use corel painter(for the first time)... most of my time has been dedicated to finding out how to achieve artistic effects& painterly brushwork digitally.

This rough sketch shows a composition change.Alot has been eliminated from the pic but I really didn't like something about my previous composition and considered abandoning the pic all together. I don't have time to start again so I thought I would just simplify what I had.
Any comments or criticisms about the composition are welcome!
