View Full Version : Knife or bandsaw tool for Maya?
dr_bob 03-05-2002, 03:19 PM Hi all,
Does Maya have a knife or bandsaw tool for polygons, similar to those found in LightWave? If not, what are the alternatives?
Thanks in advance.

What does this alleged bandsaw do exactly?

Well, I haven't tried out the Maya script yet, but in LW it allows you to split an entire row or loop of polygons automatically - allowing you to quickly add local detail.

Ok, I gotcha. Similar to inserting an Isoparm on a nurbs surface.
