Didn't it look cheesy? I am a great fan of the Terminator saga and all of James Cameron movies, but somehow a don't see the great visual breakthough he had with the previous movies.
Everything looks like you standard blow them up action movie.

I hope they saved the really cool stuff for the movie.

Hmmm. i watched the trailer with a big Terminator fan and we had to ...well...laugh...i don't think that's what is supposed to happen....

Is it me or does this movie seem to have a very large PowerRanger level....yuch...
And the who ever gave this director this job, every movie he's done so far have been...well...crap.

A female terminator...pfffwahhahahahaha...oh my god..that's so...sad...i think i'm gonna cry now....

Being a huge of T1 and T2, this movie along with Arnold are a disgrase, he should never have agreed to this mockery.
The premise is horrible, the actors are gone, the Director is gone, the Writer is gone, it's all a bunch of b.s really.

The story line and premise looks horrible, they really screwed it up, and what a silly idea for the new terminator, from what I saw of the trailor, the aging Arnold and the cheesy over used scenes and lines, this "may" be worth renting for a few laughs. Other then that don't expect anything ground breaking.

She'll be back, give me a damn break, this new director it coppies the same damn type of shots, didn't that huge truck thingy seem a little similar to something out of t2? terminator driving huge rig, the other terminator getting smashed up into walls with a "plain" look on his face like it's nothing.

This is such a dumb disgrace no wonder James Cameron didn't want to do it, for him it was enough. But some other bozo picks it up thinking he can make it. Jeezus, i'm angry!

im not overly excited about this movie. but i thought there were a number of shots that were pretty cool. maybe itll suck..maybe it wont, who knows.

i mean its a trailer...

the trailer for resident evil sucked large...the movie ( i thought) was very enjoyable.

many movies have shitty trailers.....and the movie ends up surprising em.

There's too much action for a trailer, this film will be just a CG Boom Boom Boom ? :shrug:

man i thought they fixed the problems with technicolor years ago, arnies tan is way off the scale there... the whole thing looks like they made it more of a self parody than anything else, and the sfx compositing shots in there were not good (lens flare in the eye? her weapon "effect").

i guess there will be some explanation in the story as to why she doesn't seem as advanced as the t1000 in t2.

There is....she is actually what the T1000 couldnt be, she can turn into mechanical objects (remember that was his defect) thats what the lame as looking hellicopter thing was in the elevator. And the buzz saw coming thru the car roof.

I have been against this movie since its inception and even more so when EVERYONE involved in T2 (really the only good one) except arnie backed out!!!!

This is gonna be CRAP ON WHEELS!!!!

If they really have a time machine and killer robots and they wanna out John Conner, why not save a lot of time and send a bomb back in time to land on Sarah Conners great grandparents head!!!!! Then none of it would happen and we wouldnt have to deal with anymore of these lame ass sequals!!!!!

When sequels are made WITHOUT the person that created it, you bet it's going to suck.

The only time I can think of a sequel kicking ass more than the original, and by someone who didn't create the original, was when James Cameron directed Aliens.

i think i will go with everyone else here......its going to be a bomb!

when i heard that there was going to be another T movie i was hoping it would be of the future.
word i heard was this was to be part 3 of 4 parts, so i thought it was going to be the story about what happened in the future of the first send back (john's father and the first T we saw hunting him.)
T4 was going to be the story of the 2nd send back, not another progressively harder and harder mobs after you story!

i guess i am asking too much for someone to think of a good story to match the already ongoing story line.
what i see is another version of T2, another robot to kill john for the future....
how about explaining the story of what happened in the altered future. call it a prequel i dont care, but as it stands it is a future that is set to be doomed no matter what.

next for T13.....robot XXXIV (with phase/teleport travel, dna sight scanning, and the all new ice cube system!) is after john's great grand son!

sigh!
of course i could be wrong and that the story could go in the way i hoped. that is hoping alot i think!

Wow. I am amazed. Sure, Arnie's career has been in the dumps for 4 or 5 movies now, but this is just stupid. Cameron should've bought back the rights and vaulted this if he didn't want to make it himself... :thumbsdow

The first terminator was Cameron's first movie, so he didnt have the clout back then that he has now. So he doesn't own the rights to any of the IP of the terminator license. Some other company that funded him at the time does.

Yeah, Carolco - who made the first two movies - owned the rights, but when they went bancrupt a handful o' yrs back, they auctioned the rights to all their movies, which is why all the old Carolco franchises have been resurrected recently - Universal Soldier 2, Stargate SG1, and now T3.

Heck, TV movies like "Militia" even contain action footage lifted DIRECTLY from T2, which I bet is also a consequence of Carolco's downer.

Anyway, regarding Cameron here's a quote (from DarkHorizons): "I made that decision [not to be
involved] a long time ago. Really it was when I was in post-production on
'Titanic,' I said, 'Guys, I don't want to do this.' But Arnold kept kind
of hanging on, wanting me, trying to reel me in. Because we are friends
and he really wanted that continuity. And finally I just said, 'You know,
dude, just go make this. You were born to go play this guy, and I just
don't feel it. I've told the story that I wanted to tell. If they can come
up with a good script and they pay you a lot of money, don't think twice.'
So we're still on great terms. It's funny, you know, there's a part of me
that kind of hopes it sucks, but Arnold is one of my best friends, and so
for him I really want it to be good. And also, you just want it to be good
because you want it to continue the line"

I hope T3 is gonna be good but wont hold my breath.
Arny looks old and I really do believe not having Cameron direct it will make it look cheap.
I mean it might look great visually but it will just be like the new star wars movies.
And a female terminator :shrug: please, maybe she is hot yeah sure but it seems like an attempt to get some publicity going, wont it cheapen the whole thing?

Dunno, what will the fights be like? Arny hitting a chick? doesnt do it for me. Cheap thrills should be left for when watching buffy not a T movie.

Maybe I am going over the top but... the new John Connor looks like a super nerd!

Can only hope it will turn out okay! :thumbsup:
