I think it's a good beginning. I like the depth of the scene. I only think that you can hide a bit the beast by the foreground in order to show how the beast is huge. :)

good work. Like the atmosphere of the scene. I just think you could darken the foreground a little bit, like you started to make with grass, but included the charachter in order to give more depht to the scene. keep going !
