CGI TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Aardman Animations is looking for an experienced, all-round Technical Director. This position is initially a one-year contract.
This role will act as the primary departmental contact and resource for all Maya issues and activities providing key support in all productions on complex technical issues surrounding character set up, modelling, lighting, texturing, rendering, dynamics etc.
Applicants must have at least 4-6 years experience as a TD in a production environment as well as the following:
· Sound knowledge of technical issues surrounding character set up, modelling, lighting, texturing, rendering, dynamics etc.
· Experience in the areas of MEL scripting and expressions
· Ideally, you will also have experience of managing and motivating a small team.
· Excellent communication skills.
· An artistic background/skill is also desirable.

HIGH END CHARACTER MODELLER/CG ARTIST
Aardman is also looking for a talented and very experienced high-end Character Modeller/CG Artist. This position is initially a one-year contract.
You will be expected to provide high-end models as well as detailed sets and props for all CGI productions including commercials, short films and stings.
You should be highly proficient in Maya and must have at least 3-5 years experience in a production environment. Ideally, you will also have proven texturing, lighting and rendering skills.
You should show a strong team working ability and be used to working to very tight deadlines.
