This is going to be my desk scene that I am making. I am working on it piece by piece and now I have a disc. Yes I said A DISC....out of the whole desk scene that is all I have so far. But I have to say I am very happy with the results, best job I did with extrude nurbs and splines

Looks good, but could maybe use a little beveling on the edges and a tough of specular.

Is this scene for practice/fun? I ask because it seems like you might be doing overkill on the detail. How big is this object going to be in the final scene? Anyways, I'm always guilty of overmodeling, so maybe I'm just projecting. :)

Why do you think I should put beveling. This scene is for practice and yes I am overmodeling this thing. Because there will be several of these just stacked on a desk out of the way :). But since this is practice I wanted to overkill it. It will give me better practice getting the detail, and since I am not word about polys or things of that nature, I am using alot of detail on it.

Because the edges look a little too sharp. If you've used nurbs extrusion you could simply add a slight rounding to the caps--like 2/2.

The edges are like that on my disc. They are sharp like that. So I will probably just leave that part. Thank anyway. Anymore critz and comments will be helpfull
