A wannabe young Elf acrhers with her companions on the journey of unknown. Very rough sketch but will begin the detail stuffs later on the fine line progress.
hey there .. welcome to the challenge :applause:
very cool sketch  its a good party i really like the little one with the axe :)
Only weak point in this amzing sketch is the big guy in front. There's something wrong with his legs & feet, and his face doesnt have the same quality as the other characters imho.

Nice sketch. THe main character has a lot of energy, which is fun.
I agree with Vahn's points about the Lion man. It also feels at though his head is too small for his body. Why does he have human-looking feet? I think clarifying his expression towards the young woman could really help push this piece: Is he being patient? Condescending? Rolling his eyes? Stern? Cheerful?
But hey, it's only a first sketch. And a very good one at that. Good luck with it!

Yup, he's a half human half lion species . He's now a guardian of this little elf . Before that he was a famous general in the battle front . He got one eye blinded during one of the battle . After numerous of battles , he retired n became a mercenary....
Btw, thanks a lot for the comments .

'very rough sketch' is indeed a matter of opinion. i would love to be able to produce line art at the level that you roughly sketch. plus great characters and real feeling of embarking upon something. you're on a roll.
can't wait to see more,

Thank u very much , anzibon . :) I'll post more of my progress next week coz currently i was too busy with my full time work .
Due to size limitation, i can only post very low res pic here . Whorever wish to see more details for this sketch may go to this link = http://www.deviantart.com/view/30399210/
Any additional suggestion would be gladly appreciated .
Oh, I just saw all entries for the challenge right now, and I must say that this one was the one which retain my attention, maybe because of my personal taste, whatever. I do like a lot your "concept sketch" (yeah sure... I want to see the lineart after this XD).
I don't really have any crit to do to such an amazing piece, I love the little guy in the bottom left. I could only suggest to you to put some things in front of all this to add some depth, like a plant, a bird, whatever :)

holy crap ....this is amazing......what would help i think is if you widen the hight of the canvas....because this is a top ten in my books.....make it print ready!!

Wow - really great line work for a concept 'sketch'. Wish I could draw line like that! Looks great, though I'm looking forward to seeing some tone and colour - I'll check back.

Lovely tight sketch.
Just make sure characters make eye contact with each other.
Do increase the canvas. The big fellow's foot and sword touches the edge of frame.
The girl on the right seems glued to the lion.
Few problems with the hands: pointing finger, lion's hand around the sword...
Other than that... just great. Have fun.
