My first pass at getting the story swirling in my mind out on paper. Any thoughts, ideas, adjustments welcome.

A slightly refined pass with a little more thought put into the characters reactions and general composition.

Wow, this is the second parachuting turtle concept I've seen in the last five minutes! (But don't worry, I don't think a half an hour more of looking at these threads will turn up 6 more paratrooper-tortoises! :) ) Anyhow, nice concept. I like the dramatic perspective angle and the design of the island. I also really appreciate that you didn't give your turtles hands but instead kept the less-anthropomorphized flippers. And it still works perfectly well. You could prpobably try opening up the composition a bit. The bottom of the page and the left are crowding your features a bit.
Anyhow, good luck with it!

Yeah I must admit I was a bit disappointed when I discovered how similar our concepts turned out to be right off the bat. I would have never guessed that was possible... but then this is an international forum. It's also my first time posting on CG Society so I have no idea how particular they are about such things. However, I did see a rule that when in doubt judges toss the concept posted last. Which, in this case happens to be mine. So, unless another more experienced member on this forum convinces me otherwise I will simply go back to the drawing board and dream up another fitting solution. Best of luck with your entry jackmcfly.
