Hey

I've been out traveling and havent done anything in 4 months.
So when I got home I decided to try Painter.
Kind of different from PS I must say.
Heres what Im working on:

Any tips on what tools/brushes would help this go further?
Hair and eyes mostly.

Thanks

(and I know, the background is horrible, I'll replace it later)

Well, hopefully the problem is fixed and you should be able to see the pic's now.

I used Linda Bergkvist's eye-tutorial (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=227727) to paint the eyes. Big help! There's too much white in the eyes though I think..

The hair is up next.
Please comment.

I've never tried Painter before :)

Perhaps shading it a bit more? The image looks a bit flat right now - maybe defining the wrinkles using shading/highlights instead of lines.

Keep up the good work :)

I followed Ninetales tip.

C&C please

Ill continue to erase the lines with shades and then start on the hair/eyebrows.

That 3rd version took an excellent step in teh right direction. It's lookin good.
I think it's a little wide on the right side. and perhaps the eyes need to be a bit bigger. also increase shading on the outer parts of the face to give it more dimenion, the outside shouldn't have the same amount of shadow as the wrinkles, because there's more curvature.
excellent work

Eyebrows added.
Also a quick sketch of the hair, but I'm not sure about that.
Would rather put a hat on him or something so I don't have to paint hair

I followed aldog's tip and got rid of even more lines. Looking better indeed.
