Mates Laurentiu has entered "The Journey Begins Challenge (2D)".
Hi guys! I was marveled bythe potential of this subject and I decided to subscribe myself.
I remembered the times I used to play D&D with my friends and a certain adventure in particular. I was sick and tired to play by the book so I shrinked all the players and brought them into a smaller, magical world, into the midst of a war between fairies and a race I invented, called the prikoliks.
So the story goes like this:
Fairies have been at war with the dreaded and mischiviouse prikoliks for ages. Both sides see the forest as their own domain and frequently the borders are trespass so the peace between them is scarced un unsure.
But the prikoliks are not evil, as the fairies might say about them. Mischiviouse, sure, cruel even - without a doubt. But not more evil than any of us would be. Maybe because the peacefull and lawfull fairies don't understand the restless souls of the prikoliks, their curiosity and need for adventure, maybe thats why they see it. Prikoliks are rogues, but no more.
So my story starts when a small prikolik meets a small fairy in the forest; she is lost and she can't find her way home so she sleeps in a small cave between the roots of an old tree. And they become friends. Yet the guardiants of the baby prikoliks follow him someday while he was stealing food for his friend. And they caught them. They took their time tormenting the little fairy, asking one another how they should kill and eat her. But when they found out the fairy is the smaller daughter of the Fairy Emperor, they see the chance to make peace with their neighbours and decide to take the little fairy back home.
And this is where my sketch begins, this is the first step into the great journey, through the great forest full of dangers and enemies to the glades of the fairies.
So here it is, to the ground level again, remembering some of that adventure. And this is my sketch for now. It may improve as I go along.
