I hate maya's (4.0) bevel tool. I end up having to hand bevel everything. Does anyone know of a plugin or solution?

Is it just a general feeling of dsigust or do you have a special problem? I think it works alright except for the fact that on complex models it tends to create some extra edges you have to clean manually.
