However, I don't think you have a concept here. Maybe you should concentrate on incorporating her into a piece that depicts the beginnings of a journey. After all, that IS what the competition is about. Great skills will only take you so far. You'll also need a strong concept and I don't think you have one. :shrug:

can't wait to see where this ends up...very interesting, well composed image...hope you can very subtly work in a not so subtle sense of journey?? For me the image itself as it stands suggests a journey but it might be worth considering making it more obvious since another person raised the issue...however unwarranted it could prevent the judges from considering your entry as fulfilling the challenge -- which would be a shame. Just a thought...good luck.

-Nepozdava sa mi vyraz v tvari, je rada ze je na prechadzke tak nech sa troska usmieva ;)
-predpokladam ze ide a este aj fuka, tak konce satov by som troska blurnul a to iste s vlasmi
-pri prechodoch do vrstiev sa mi to nepozdavaju ostre hrany stromu a fuka tak aj s konarmi treba nieco spravit ;)
-Zmenil by som orientaciu strany, postavu posunul do 1/3 obrazku z lava a do prava ten strom a niekde do pozadia (v strede alebo trocha viac do prava by som dal veterny mlyn)

Hi Astil! First, congrats that you've finished this work as well as this challenge. I think last changes helped it a lot but there are still some things I don't like. In my opinion, the dogs aren't very expressive and they're sinking in overall look...(perhaps it was your purpose) Some contrast would help. ;) On the other side, this image has great feeling, nice atmosphere...

I know I wouldn't be able to create something like this so far and I have to learn a lot from people like you, but this was only my personal opinon...
