View Full Version : NURBS and SubD Shading Issues

Hi All,

I'm having a problem with some display components.

When I'm working with SubDs I have a lattice around the model, which I can't seem to get rid of. It becomes particular annoying when I copy the object delete part and it stays around the what use to be the whole object (very messy).

In NURBS I seem to always have a wireframe on shaded thing going, which I don't always want.

Anyone know what I'm referring to in either case?

Thanks,
M

hey i dont think i understand your problems well but

for the subD , did you try to right click on it and select standard ? this will get rid of the lattice *if thats what you are talking about :)

for nurbs , did you try to go to Shading menu on the viewport and select 'wireframe on shaded' under 'shading options'

?

:)

Yes, it was a pathetic attempt at explaining myself. :hmm:

I have tried both. In the case of the SubDs, it almost seems like a data flow problem, where things are cool for a while, but somewhere along the way I go into component mode and straight into proxy or standard mode or something wierd and the lattice gets stuck...

In the nurbs case, could it be a video driver setting or something? In Max you have a window to adjust all the video display driver stuff. Does Maya have something like this.

Thanks for attempting to understand, Mr Blue.
