Hey All,

I pretty new at posting on the boards, but after MUCH prompting from Roberto, I am entering the SEQUENTIAL ART MICRO CHALLENGE #1 : The Fight. Let me start off that I have been a fan of comics since I picked my first comic, featuring a short of Nick Fury's Howling Commandoes at the age of 6. My tastes have changed through the years, but I've been colllecting/enjoying them ever since! Now, I would like to contribute, but always had a hard time developing the stories (what's comics without stories?!).

Since the compressed time frame, the drawings will be rough as I'm trying to develop more of my storytelling skills than my art skills.

I'll post more as the story develops. In the meantime, here's some old stuff I'm trying to shed, so I can get off my butt and create some new ones.

A little story that writer, David Grossman, and I did when we were at the University of Maryland:

Alright, this exercise has taken a very different direction than the African samurai story that I thought I was going to do. The more that I thought of it, the more another story kept popping up in my head. Without further ado, I present to you, BEAR, Act I:

Growing up in Washington, D.C., I have seen this place grow up exponentially. Through the years, we have gone by different names. Back in the 80’s, we have had the dubious honor of being called, “the Murder Capital of the World”. Now, we have the “3rd Worst [Traffic] Congestion in the Nation”...a different kind of death. This ubiquitous population boom has forced us to overdevelop the region, but forget about us…this story takes us to our furry and feathered woodland creatures and their trials and tribulations [In the essence of time (or the lack thereof), the drawings are a little rough...okay, okay a lotta' rough]. Enjoy!

I have no idea why the squirrels turned out like a cross between Brain of "Pinky and the Brain" and Wilbur the Piglet, but that's how they turned out. Tell me what you think.
