The idea is coming together. This is what I have so far for a basic concept.There will probably be a few more concept sketches along the way.Good luck to everyone in the contest!!!

I have been kind of busy and haven;t been able to post in a little while. This is the basic model shape for the ship. There will probably be many modifications to it.

I started working on the main characters face. This is the first time I have done any facial modelig I hope it turns out well.I would appriciate crits or advise you have.

I fixed the face up a little bit using more loops. It seems to look better then before. I am having a little diffuculty with the mouth and eyes but I think I can figure it out.

Much much better! you are on the right track thats for sure:)
Just keep working the edgeloops, you will get is soon:) I think at this point you need to work more on the over all shap of the head, like you said around the eyes on so on.

It has been long time since I posted anything for the contest, unfortunetley I have had no time to work on my entry wich really sucks because was so excited when entered the event.
Hopefully next time I will be better prepared and have some time to dedicated to the event. Thanks to everyone for you help. See Ya!!
