An open source version of the several thousand dollar Rendering Machine from Pixar. Not sure if its any good, But worth a try!.

Anyone have any experence with it? If so, how is it.

I will try it out later, and post feedback.

How is this news? Pixie has been around for a while, most renderman users know about it.
There are many others around, like Aqsis, 3Delight, RenderDotC, Air, etc.

Pixie at the moment is no where near the stage of prman, both speed and stability wise.
Also try aqsis for another open source renderman renderer. 3delight is not open source, but has 1 free license you can try too. It's a very fast and high quality renderman implementation.

Sorry.
Someone had just sent me a link. I'm not the person to keep up on all the new renderers. Thanks for the links, I will be sure to check them out as well.

Sorry again for the old news.
