View Full Version : My own character in Quake3 ???
Nicool 12-17-2002, 06:11 PM Hello,
I'm a high-res 3dgraphist, and I would to know if someone can give me informations (links, plugins, articles, ...) to create my own character tto be usable in Quake3 other gmaes using the same 3d renderer...
I know modeling, setuping, animated... But how to convert it to Quake3d? How can I use the sprites animation already existant?
........??
Thanks you very much!

Just go to www.polycount.com it has all the resources you require, plus it has the original biped animation files from the game characters.
Good luck

da krunch, dont know if you know about the models and skeletons that can be downloaded for UT2003. you can get them from fileplanet. they have biped anims aswell for all modesl with all motions. good place to start. as for exporting to game engine dont know.

Nicool, try this link to export your Maya objects to Q3A .map format. I've never used it, so I don't have so much information about the plug-in.
