AlienFreak_09 03-12-2006, 09:01 PM Hey all,
I am cyrrently modeling a gun for a mod and I am wondering how I would go about making holes in a piece of a pologon object.
Here are some examples of what I mean:

if you trying to make the barrel, just use create -> polygons -> pipe, and voila (assuming you're using 7.0)
otherwise, do a booleans operation:
1. select the object you wish to have the whole
2. shift select the object you wish to have cut the whole (i.e. cylinder with caps)
3. polygons->booleans->difference
also, if you are planning on doing any smooth functions, do your booleans afterwards, or else it won't work...
goodluck
