I have a mouse character and the body is pretty much done.

I am doing the facial features now, I have done the ears but the eyes are causing me non stop hassle.

I tried just using sphere's with a FFD modifier object. Blinking then is easy enough.

The problem is I am having huge difficulty making it suit the model's head. The eye since built seperate looks seprate if you know what I mean.

What's the best way to attack this part of the modelling. I can post images of the head if required.

I'm tearing my hair out.....

Lets see some screenshots!

A question, do you want the eyes to be seperate or more inset (real looking)?

Useally when I model a character I use have a sphere handy, and use that to model the eye socket around. If you're looking for a cartoony eye then just stick that sucker on the face and parent it to your rig. They can still be aim constrained to a locator and you can still have the lids blink if you wish (being seperate).

Screen shots attached.

As you can see from the character I am definatly wanting cartoony eyes but ones which will suit.

Is a difficult one !

These type of eyes would be fantastic. But how can I model them similar to these keeping them animate-able. Blinking, movement etc

Check out this web site:

Here (http://www.jawa9000.com/technical/eyes/eyes.htm#part1)

It covers making the cartoon eyes in Maya, but I'm sure you could do the same in any other 3d app. The pictures at the bottom of the tutorial give examples of how to do what you're wanting (I think).

Which program are you using anyways? You could do the blinking bit with drivin keys, and the look bit with aim constraints pretty easy in maya. I'm new to Max myself, and never tried XSI or Lightwave, so I cant help ya there.
