View Full Version : Can't See Selection Marquee

You know that box made up of dotted lines that you get when you select something in like, every application on earth? Well, I was working in Maya today, and suddenly the box is gone. To my knowledge I didn't hit any buttons or anything, and I can't find anything in Settings and Preferences to get it back. Restarting Maya didn't do anything. Is there some hotkey I somehow hit or something, or am I going to have to start reinstalling 3d card drivers and stuff?

Maybe you have accidentally switched to lasso-selection or no-manipulator tool? Else, it's very likely to be a display bug, I guess. :shrug:

Nah, the lasso doesn't make any lines when I try to select either :(

hi,

it turns out that I fixed mine by switching back to catalyst 5.5 drivers instead of 6.3. this worked a treat. I have an X850XT.

then select on the left "Drivers and Software | Windows XP | Previous Drivers and Software"

Thanks. I might try that out if nothing else works; seems funny that I've have to change my drivers when it was working alrady with the ones I'm using.
