tight renders :)
can we see some wires of the car? thnxu
the wheel and the brake disc look great! they'll look sweet with some good mats on them. one small thing though: it looks like the tire thread isnt attached to the tire on the outer sides.. i could be mistaking though

I really like it. Just one question on the brake rim how did you model it. Did you bevel plus or some other method?
X-Ice
04-14-2006, 07:05 PM
@ScottyDoesntKnow so I used the array method in Cinema 4D. In the next time I want to do a tutorial about a rim in Cinema 4D German / English. Sorry for my bad english :P
Okay dudes here a update:

You're off to an excellent start. How on earth did you get that look with the back lights? Is it a texture or is everything in there actually modeled? This is looking to be a very promising model.

Very nice, also pap87 those are materials for the back lights, not texture. No updates for a while? (even on cgcars?)

Updates are comming soon dude ;) I don't want to post always so small updates :) At the moment I work a little bit more on my concept car (u can see it on cg-cars.com) and try to creat good studio setup for my 2 cars ;)
Okay one question: what do you think about the reflections?
I created the reflection map with Photoshop, really easy to creat it ;) But needs a little bit time to have the result what you want.

Backlights!
Okay I don't use a texture for this backlights just material :) Here u can see without the backlightswindow:

Love that last render! I can't believe the results your lowpoly body mesh gave you for your smoothed renders. Can you hook us up with some more lowpoly shots?
Keep up the great work, this is gonna be sweet

u mean no smoothed renders? +wires?

Nice work :). But the bump of the brake disk looks a little bit strange. I think its to strong, because i looks like the hole surface of the break is damaged.

I was thinking like wireviews, preferrably shaded wires, even viewport screengrabs, just to see the topology that you're hands on with. Thanks man!

This is excellent work! Your tyre/rim is great. Love when people are making details :)
I think that the rearlights (textures and so on) is some of the hardest parts to make perfect and realistic on cars, so work with them. It makes the car complete!
Waiting for updates...

This is awesome man! Those clay renders are smooth - great work. The carpaint renders could use some work. I find the reflections a bit grainy, the edges of the geometry are nice and crisp, but the reflections arn't sitting right with me. I like the silver more then the red.
keepem' coming

AAGGHHH, whenever i come on here my own confidence just plumits :( this is amazing and sooo detailed, im working on a lambo countach at mo and wanted it pretty detailed but its not even close to this, is it best / hard to model panels seperatly or do you do the whole car and then split it up and add detail? ?
Brilkliant work, keep it up!
