Climax Racing is continually growing and adding new games into production and requires a Technical Artist a stunning first party multi platform Next Gen title. We are based in the beautiful and relaxed seaside town of Brighton on the South Coast of England and we are ideally located being 50 minutes from Central London and 30 minutes from Gatwick International airport - so come join us on the beach.
The successful applicant should have at least 3 years industry experience in a similar role within the games industry and have a solid technical understanding of art creation for console platforms and asset pathways. A good understanding of MELScript or additional script or programming languages are a plus. You will have the ability to efficiently model, UV, and texture, organic and non-organic environments, vehicles and other 3D models and have an excellent knowledge of Maya or Max with at least one published title behind them and have a passion for creating stunning looking graphics. You will have the ability to create 3D assets from 2D concepts, both organic and non-organic meshes and be able learn and work with proprietary tools and software packages quickly.
