Climax LA is continually growing and adding new games into production and now has a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Animator a stunning new title. We are based in the beautiful and relaxed beach side town of Santa Monica in California on the West Coast of the USA - so come join us on the beach.
Our ideal candidate will be:
· An exceptionally good character animator.
· Able to supply well-presented examples or a pertinent show reel that demonstrate your knowledge and execution of timing, weight, expression, posing, etc.
· Able to showcase a healthy percentage of your work showing realistic, human-proportioned bipedal animation.
· Experienced enough to have worked on two or more published titles at a senior level of responsibility as a character animator.
· Experienced in systems control animation as opposed to just cinematic and cut scene work.
· Professionally conversant in Maya and Max.
· Willing to put some hard work into quickly expanding your current knowledge base and being a fast learner as necessary.
· Professional and effective at communicating directives, ideas and critique within an animation team as well as attending and contributing to departmental lead and producer meetings as required.
· Able to receive criticism without physically hurting people around you.
· Experienced at troubleshooting technical problems and creating solutions with regards to 3D animation in a game engine, from constraints to exporting, whatever the problem may be.
