The Journey Begins Challenge (2D) Entry: Maria Khurram

This is a rendition of those earthquake survivors which hit Pakistan on 8 October 2005 killed more than 50,000 people. It was worst than Tsunami. It was also a demerit that winter approached just after that disaster and made worse to control. Winter killed more people. It is pretty hard to build shelters for them due to contineus aftershocks. And also due to landsliding, rescue operations were pretty hard to do.

Fantastic painting. I'm sorry for the loss of your countrymen. It must be difficult for you to relive the experience as you paint this. I think it's an emotional piece even without the real-life circumstances behind the painting.

Inspired by the variation of colors, I found myself doing this. Macaws are such a beauty that have bright and saturated colors but with grace. I couldnot decide what to call them, Palette or Parrot? Is it a palette of God? God is the artist indeed, the greatest artist. Soft Pastels.

Oils. An earthquake survivor which hit Asia on 8th October 2005. That quake distroyed so many cities that they are now vanished and not a single building stood there. Also the schools and hospitals are damaged. Her all family is gone, her freinds are dead
