About it being clearly the start of a journey:
When I thought about the challenge I thought about when a journey begins. A journey's start actually is the ending for what came before the journey. An image came to me of a battered Amazon-like warrior and her wounded giant companion setting forth for home after winning a terrible battle with a great wizard.
One quest ends as another quest begins.

hmm yes see what your saying but i dont think your current composition reads like that at all... remeber it has to be clear with no description. if i were youi would try man comps and get crit on which one reads best. good luck and have fun

I'll be changing the composition over the course of the contest. These are first takes so to speak. Hopefully, by the end, the concept will be clear when it's all done.
