I love the dramatic pose of the first one! You know, I love where you are going with this too as I can see the bird of prey. But...

...the right foot bothers me. I know it is there for balance but it takes a dynamic pose and changes it into something more mundane. I prefer the Valkyrie's stance to be with feet close together (when I thought the first foot was the right foot), thrusting the sword as if committing the action without the thought of balance; as if never expecting the attack to fail and demonstrating full confidence of that fact. The addition of the right foot also seems to take power away from the thrust – the dress no longer billows from the movement of the arms but follows instead the movement of the legs.

Fantastic work, though. Can't wait to see it completed.
