You should be sending your images as milestones. This way your thread doesn't get an picture avatar and you will have more trouble later when having to upload everything as milestones.

Your idea is cool, but try changing the PoV to fit more the theme. Something cool would be to put huge trees, and the female worm hunging out in the top of one, with the main character looking to her and seeing all the enemies in front of him, making a crowd.

Remember, the same pov can make three people look like huge monsters presenting a menace, or "just" another obstacle in the way.

Good luck.

hey Elentor ,thanks for the sugestions, gonna keep them in mind.

now I didnt understand this milestone thing? I was wondering indeed why I have no avatar on my work too, not sure how it works, care to explain it mate?

Of course I can explain, no problem.

You should be updating your images through this link:

http://features.cgsociety.org/challenge/journey_begins/submit_entry.php

It's the "Submit Entry". You first log-in, then select the pic and upload it through the system. Next it will be automatically updated on your thread.

Whenever you are updating, use this submit entry link to do it. I suggest you to send everything you've done already through it, just to be safe.

Best regards

Hi guys, after a lot of thinking I finally made out my mind. Gonna have some fun with this one.

My idea goes around the Indiana Jones movies, who doesnt love those? I decided to portray the concept of the movie using worms. Wanted cute little worms, which can also be deadly ;).
From my drawing you can see the little Indiana Worm getting ready to battle lots of other worms to save his girlfriend who is wrapped around a vase plant by some weird worm tribe.
I´m gonna try to give diferent personalities to the bad worms, diferent weapons, since they will all be based on a base worm mesh for simplicity.
The background(ambiency) will be based on my own backyard which has a lot of grass around, rocks, rest of contruction things, should make a nice enviroment and I can get the textures from it too.

Good luck to all, it´s my first challenge here in cgtalk and I´m very excited to get started.

Started to merge the elements I had modelled to get a feel of the scene. I zoomed in and tried to get a good view of the chars(little boxes) and the enviroment. There´s still a lot to be done, adding more little details, rocks, maybe some more junk you find in a backyard. Having fun ;)
