View Full Version : Cleo - Character (renewal)
Well my last thread has seemed to have disappeared. Probably because I hadn't updated it in more than a month :D . Anyway here is my latest update on Cleo. Not a huge one - I've been on holidays and working hard. I've made some changes to the face. Hope you enjoy! C&C needed.

Woah! I've just fell in love. Excelent modeling skills you have there, the body still needs some work but the head and hair are absolutly amazing. Can you give us a close up of the face, and maybe some wire images? Don't stop working on her, I wanna see her finished.

Seems like you've been inspired by Steven Stahlberg :) Nice work, can't wait to see more. Are you using Maya hierarchical subdivs as well? Seems more like normal polygons to me though...
Laa-Yosh
Yes I'm a big Stahlberg fan :) . For this model I'm using CPS. I'd like to use sub-ds but I'm only using Maya 4 Complete as a trade-off I need to keep the mesh fairly light for speed. I want to upgrade to 4.5 soon.

Thanks. OK here is the wire and face closeup.

yikes and yum
looks so damn good!
Reminds me of the broken Android from (Ghost in the Shell) that was the main bad Andriod.
Might be an idea in there for ya. :buttrock:

Pretty nice mesh, you have a few triangles, but they don't bother the mesh too much.
OK nearly there. Tell me if something looks wrong. :)

pay closer attention to where the shins and calves meet the ankle. There was something about this that bothered me.

show us a close up of the hands and feet!
aarrgghh
Thanks. She's not based on anyone recognisable exept the hair style was taken from Naomi Watts when she was on the cover of Bazar Mag.
jfalconer
Yes I see what you mean. I've payed some attention to that area now and improved it a bit.

Thanks.

Looks great.
To me it looks like she works out her abs like crazy, but there is little of the same definition anywhere else. I think her personal trainer would give her a more well balanced workout. The breasts could be relaxed just a touch too.
Thanks lowdown. I've toned her abs down slightly. It may look a bit exaggerated because of the seam down the middle but it smoothed out when I merge the 2 halves.
Here is an update on the face:
Here is a test pose I did for fun. It's very simple smooth binding:

Much better without the sixpack. Must be fun posing your model. haha
