i know i bring this up every 5 or so months...but man...when you render in passes..your final images just friggin' rock.

:applause:

anyway...here's an image that i think simulates SSS, and it was achieved quite easily by tweaking my Diffuse, and Specular, and Luminosity channels in photoshop. total time with rendering and tweaking...about 5 minutes...the render itself only took 30 seconds...i took nearly 5 minutes just tweaking and tweaking and tweaking until i ended up with a look i thought was cool.

i'd love to hear your comments on it. :)

that looks really cool! im confused... if you did animation, you would have to tweak each frame in PS?
how do you render in passes?
... and what did you do in PS?

nah..you tweak the individual passes in AE or combustion or whatever package you use.

the Rendered layers are seuqntial so you'd just stack your movie properly and go from there tweaking....

you tweak the Diffuse, Specular, Luminosity, etc type of channels all in real time....until you are happy with the way your image looks...

here's a good primer to help get you up to speed:

That image looks sweet. I wish I could import my individual passes into AfterEffects for manipulation like that.
Great work Policarpo!

thanks everyone.

and kurt...you can import the sequential files and passes quite easily just use the Buffer Saver Pixel Filter to do this. :)
