I guess teleportation is a good beginning of a journey. Maybe not a very new method.

This would be a great one for good rendering layers, and a lot of post work, I would love it, although the journey is a little unknown, perhaps some luggage to be beemed with!
GoodLuck !

I've pleased that you can see so much in such sketch!
I think there's no luggage with traveller, this is gonna be like "Birth of Venus" (I'll refuse the "terminator posture")

I've refuse the "terminator posture", but I would like to use a burning sphere around teleported. In my case it's gonna be a cylinder! :)))) I hope they won't sue me! The sci-fi theme seems to me like a modern mythology, so I've found more inspiration in Botichelli's "Birth of Venus".
http://www.vt-2004.org/Background/Infol2/vt2004-if14-fig2.jpg
Also i've added accident victim in the scene for more dramatic mood and "beauty and the beast" associations. So, victim is a monstrous animal, some kind of fantastic reptile or amphibia. He choose the wrong time to stand on teleport platform :((

I thought that the composition of the previous sketch is too frontal and definitely not a 3D view. So I've made a "movie-frame" with other foreshortening.
Hello there
I love your idea and very cool sketches so far
one crit though - it seems more to me that this is a "The Journey ends - picture" more than the journey begins, maybe it's corrected with the new concept, but i think you should pay attention to it. so it's clearly displayed the the women is starting on the teleportation and not arriving, thus ending the journey
just my 2 cent... hope it's useful...

Don't think so! The point of teleportation is your instantaneous transmission in space, this is a very fast stretch in time and you just can't realize that you are in travel in this moment. So journey just begins when she's arrive :)))
Ok i see your point. :)
it's gonna make a cool image no matter what ;)

Nice modeling. I like the start but I have to question the subject of the image. I agree with Dennis. You might concider adding an element or changing your idea a bit. It does seem more like the journey ends. But I like your concept sketches and setup of the scene. It will look cool either way.

Thanks for your interest. I think i'll defendin' my point in "ending and starting" doubts of this scene. :) Isnt' it fun to apear suddenly on unknown planet, standin' on old desolate teleportation platform, naked and surrounded by jellyfish-mushroom-like lianas and fresh corpse of monster? I think it's a good start for journey to get out of this shit! :)

Might I suggest adding some vines closer to the teleportation circle that have been chopped off and are still burning?
Or something to really show that she has just beamed in to the scene.
Charred leaves, burning grass, small fires and stuff?

However, i have a little progress with texture for monster (nothing to see in the meantime) and i'm still search the pose for the girl. There's couple refs for it from classic art. Like i said before i find a parallel between "Birth of Venus" and my teleportation but the pose of Venus lilbit not in right mood so i'm tryin' to fix it :) Actually i want to add some sculpture plastic form to my model when i'm done with her pose.

Don't be so sad, i think you can find a lot of live beauty in Baku :)
But of course i want my model to look alive. Maybe such idealistic manner even preclude perceiving her as a live person...
Glad that my help is useful for you, and thanks for Easter greetings, it's my favorite holiday! I congratulate you to :)

I really like the left hand 3d pose- I think it works really well,it's just the position of the head is not quite right- I think it would make a big difference if you turned the head front on, and either had her looking directly at the viewer, or looking slightly upward to the sky. marvelous work mate!

Thank you Mauro. I don't think that the hair plugin is useful in my case. The head of the girl is gonna be about 150 pixels wide on picture, so i'm goin' to model it. I want to make kind of wet comb back messy hair.

Thank you Shake! You reveal kind of interesting idea for me about lookin' in the sky. I've made a little drawing of her in such pose(in the bottom-left), but i didn't thought it over completely. I think it might point her beaming in the scene. But it will lilbit far from venus-confident pose... i'll definitely try your suggestion, thanks a lot maaate!

Great modeling and texturing. Great detail. Only one thing though, the wounds seem a little too clean looking. If the animal were attacked by a beast, normally you would see more of a serrated edge around the wound area where ripping and tearing would occur.

I like the composition as well. Now for lightening it up... i'm not so sure about it. I like the dark, menacing mood you got now. But if you want to add light, maybe do it on a local basis, highlighting only certain areas. You can always explain the highlights by some sunlight peaking through. But uniformly brightening it up may not be a great idea.

Thanks I've tryed the contrast variant and it's seems to me not the right one. She is more "out of the material world" when she is light and blurry.
It's strange about turntable, seems it's needs only pics sequence...Wish you deal with that!
Greatto: :)

Turtable--yes, tiff--not yet

Teleportation. The Journey Begins.
Is there a more perfect facility for transportation in space man ever invented than a teleporter? Maybe speed and distance are much more important than a landscape behind the window and an expectations of meeting... Further the progress breakin' through, less of space left for the human among progress achievements. Ironically, the whole power of the modern hi-tech perfect device, took our protagonist to the prehistoric stone age. She passed billions of miles, but it was a moment for her, and the real journey is only about to begin...

And also. :) It's very huge luck (or what ever it is) to have such a frends as Dima Kozub, Natasha Balabukha, Daniel Trbovic, Sasha Cherkassky, Jast, Yura Kholodilov, Ira Kot and others (they know) who supported, teached and inspired me during this challenge! And also it's great to have such a nice employers as Boston Animation, who kindly let me do this job in the studio in my "free time". :)
Aaand also.. Didn't expect to find such kind and friendly people on this forum like John Shakespeare and Mauro Bonelli, Adrienne Donatelli, Timur Kiryashov, Juraj Molcak and others, the greatest...
It was best of any prizes to meet you mates! Thanks a lot!:)

Komsa..I'm almost crying...thx friend...you are right...
I'm almost crying for another reason: I sent my image at the resolution of 72 pixels....Now I have seen this...I thought that was at 300 because I rendered at 300 and the composition was at 300, but now reopned I've seen that is at 72....
ARGH what happend...If I resample is ok but I don't know if is valid....UEEEEEEEEEE

Привет, Тимур. Наверное они пропили призы или находятся в состоянии шока от наших гениальных работ, в любом случае информации по поводу результатов я найти немогу. "КомСа"--это сокращённо "Комяхов Саша".
