while the choice of subject is a bit of a fantasy stereotype I absolutely love the execution. The lighting especially helps to create a unique atmosphere. I would love to see a movie with this feeling about it.

The rendering of light in the clouds reminds me of William Turner's treatment of light. Masterful.

oh, J. W. Turner, what a brilliant artist, i love his work, full of energy and movement. esp. his skies and storm scenes. just fantastic. he is a great inspiration for many, even artist from era of impressionisim.
one of his comtemprories was Constable, another english man, a painter of landscapes. surprisingly, his work was just the opposite to Turner's. Constable's work depict peace. i admire his work as well. again, brilliant skies by him as well, esp. his renderings of clouds.
both of these were masters in their own particular style....:).
mr. mu, thats a big compliment for me, if my work reminds u of Turner's paintings. thanks for the honor. though i feel im no way near to those masters.
