View Full Version : ut2k3:Dark Horizons mod - Ankis
Jolts 12-17-2002, 12:00 AM hey ya'll, this is our first completed character for the dark horizons ut2k3 mod http://www.planetunreal.com/darkhorizons/
model was done by me, concept by shane talbot, and skin by evillair. The model is around 3k, I think evillair our project lead and texture artist who skinned him might of also reduced/added some polys somewhere.

Dude! that is farken sweet.
Only complaint is the torn skin. It looks like it should be clamped/sewn down on the edges or something to explain why it's so tight... that or make it a bit flappier and jagged on the edges if it's been torn off.
Oh and what's the go with the hands and back of the head? It would look pretty awesome if it had the same kinda detail as the shoulder mechanicals.
And he definately looks better without the eyes on the concept, although I think I like some of the forearm detail on the concept better.
Looking forward to more, love the style

Could you post the wire and maybe some animations?

thanks for the comments guys. I guess the plan is to rig him, do some animations then rework the texture.
Bibi I'll have to post wire frames of the unoptimized version, unless you don't mind seeing him all triangulated.

Hey! But this character's so scary it needs no weapons to kill you.. :D :D
Good work! Original concept, clean and well shaped modeling.

heh, thanks. He will have a gun mounted on his shoulder, thats why there is the little platform thing stuck in the side.
