Hello,
I've made a robot (inspired by the T800). Contrary to popular beliefs, for me rigging a complicated robotic arm is much harder than a human arm. I've attached the armature of the robot. where the rings and joints are colour coded for easy understanding of how it works. The orientation of the rings denotes the rotation of the joint. In this case the shoulder root and wrist can rotate in x,y,z. If anyone is wondering about the number of joints, they are all necessary for certain poses.
I've been working on just this arm for the last 6 hours, tried various things but nothing seems to work towards easy animation. I'm looking for ideas on how to rig this. If anyone wants to take a shot at this, let me know and i'll put an emdl file up.
Thanks
