View Full Version : A storyboarding question
visualchaosfx 03-10-2006, 04:59 AM I'm in the process of doing a short film animation and time is a factor.... well sort of. Would it be better to just do hand drawn storyboards or do computer generated previewlizations.

Stick figures will do and note on the side with camera angles or an arrow sign. Storyboards are not spontaneous. You should do only key frames and take notes along side about the expressions of the characters.

Hey thanks for the reply. I figured storyboards had to be spontaneous. The other day I watched the making of Final Fantasy the spirits within and they showed shots of the storyboards and stuff. And I understand the aspect of previewlization and how it can help formulate the right position for the camera to be positioned in during a sequence so its all good. Thank you.:D
well i would say go with hand drawn for speed, there's nothing faster then a paper and pencil, wich you can do anywhere.(if you got it at hand) if you have a idea you can draw it right down onto paper, other then finding a workstation, and in that time your idea could have slipped your head already.
