View Full Version : Flat Poly - sounds weird but look.
bexier 03-10-2006, 02:52 AM Does any one know what is happening here. I thought it would have something to do with normals but I am running low on brain power... It's all I can do to type this question.
The Poly's axis is flat. How can I get around to fixing this? Anyone?

hmm, I've seen this before. But it's tough to recreate it to test this theory. Try selecting your object axis tool, and setting your "scale" to 1, 1, 1.
Hope this helps!
Chris
I've only seen this once before form a model made originally in maya and imported into cinema, honestly no idea how its made.
best to delete it and then use the close polygon hole toolto make a new polygon.

Thatproblem causes because you've scaled your object very much with the object Tool
and not the Model Tool. Kico82 is right ... select your object and use the Object axis Tool
and set the scale back to 1,1,1.
The issue is also there, if you put an unscaled object into a scaled one ... the you have to reset the scale-factor to 1,1,1 in the upper object.
cheers,
Christian

there's actually a command that's very useful. must be something like
reset system or reset coordinate system.
(sorry, i don't use the english version)
if you check compensate, your model will keep it's proportions while only the axis is resetted.
