Unclebenz 03-09-2006, 11:32 PM Hello all,
I have finally decided to put my demo reel online on my brand spanking new website. All the animation on my demo reel are done by hand. No Mocap here.:) You will also find some 2d artwork on there which includes the character designs that I have done way back on the first SSX. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

very good reel, i like the fighting animation style the two critic i can make is that i find the animation not of equal quality on each character and de second one is that your video is too small! . anyway good job!

Great stuff, I especially like the recoil and hits from the gun. The 2d flour sack looked really good too. I was wondering, about how much time was given for each 50 Cent animation.

Hi , I am glad you liked the Reel. The more complex of the disarm animations took me around 3-4 days , but , most of them were done in a couple of days.

Man, love those deaths from the 50 cent game. All very unique and amazingly well done. Wooo!!
Some of the rest of the reel wasn't as strong though. Most of the single guy fighting, the moves were impressive but he seemed to lack almost any weight.
The big guy walking was kind of iffy, but him throwing the lil guy around was real nice.
The asian girl was ok.
The guy on the snowboard was good but you can barely see him with the black background. Any chance you can put him on another bg so he pops a little more?
The two guys after that, the one jumping back and forth and the one doing the flips, once again seemed to lack any weight at all, though the fall of the guy doing flips at the end was nice.
I bet if you took a bout a minute of the weakest stuff off the reel it would be that much stronger.
And once again, the stuff from the 50cent game was amazing. That part deserves 5 stars!!

I keep watching those animations from the 50cent game over and over again. So well done. Between the ingenious choreography to the execution. Wow. Some of the coolest animation I have seen in a long while.
