The Journey Begins Challenge (3D) Entry: Mats Morken

This will be the second competition that I have joined. I hope to make it the first one I complete :)

Now, for ideas: I did some sketching today, just basic ones on post-it's, but the thought process has started.

I've always wanted to do something with snails as horses so my entry will be some kind of two inch high hobbit looking creatures that ride on snails.. so maybe a wagon train or something.. I'm planning on making a male creature and a female creature and then alter them a bit and spread them allover the place... So some kind of pioneer wagon train,.. thats it :)

Since max8 come out I've been longing to use the new special stuff for something cool like this, and basically to try out all the extensions in one go, so I'll be using cloth, fur and so forth.

That will be my entry, so of to sketch on the bedside now :)

The tiny pioneer guy looks a bit wierd, but this is a 3d challenge so I'll get him right soon.. The slug steed very close to what I imagined in my head, now just to realize it in 3d :)

The plan is to show a wagon train with tiny ppl starting their journey.. The ide isn't set more than that for now. We'll se how it develops :)

Nice idea! Good luck! You have plenty of time so if you keep at it and keep posting your updates then I'm sure you'll finish it. I reckon your little pioneer guy looks great. You've got the clothing and beard just right.
