Okay kids, here's the deal. I'm almost done modeling my character, and I'm slowing down. Partially because I'm so busy with other paying gigs, but mostly because I'm affraid of texturing him.:http://www.cavecreekcabin.com/RVCFtest/pix/textqust.jpg
I think I,ve done a pretty good job (if I do say so my self)designing and modeling the character, I still have some tweaks to do, but nothing to crazy.
Its funny to me that one member saw the character and told me to to have fun animating his leg armor, well for me thats no biggy, I can handle that. But setting up mapping coordinates, drawing and painting textures, and then making it seamless sends a cold chill up my spine. Just thinking about it makes me sweat.:argh: I realize I must get past this, it is my one true downfall in CG.

I come here now and ask... no beg for any help that I can get. I will post more and more untill this baby shines. Where should I start, what should I do. Help me help myself.

Thanks

Now now, there is nothing to be scared of :D

Well, I'd start off by assigning surfaces and planning unwraps. Have you thought of what kind of textures you want to make? It looks like a suit of armous, but have you got a good idea of what you want it to look like? :)
