Yay, its another subway level. I think subways are coming back this year! Been working on this off and on, trying to get it completed before the end of the month, lots to do though. Deathmatch & Single player hopefully. Still plowing through the giantic list of static meshes to make, 1 normal & 1 destroyed.

those signs gave me a good chuckle...level looks good so far....not cluttered enough or dirty, but I'm sure you've got plans for that.

Hey Lee, this is looking really good! I can't wait to see what else you have planned for this. When you say that you are making one destroyed and one normal how much chaos are you planning for this level and do you have any examples already?!? Well the only crits I have so far is that I think it should be more populated. What I mean by that is more trash and static meshes and debris and stuff. Specially in the last image. I know you are still working on this so I look forward to the next update. CHEERS and GOOD LUCK!!

real nice but you have some smoothing probs in the tube train. too many long tris above the doors and around the windows. worth fixing me reackons

Wayne Adams: dirty as hell, or close to a NYC subway. haha

EvilBlah: swat4 has this really cool feature actor class for when you shoot an object, you can change the mesh to another mesh. so from normal to destroyed. so alot of stuff that im making for cover will have those properties. IE, throw a grenade stuff gets blown up :). I'm going to an intense level with lots of firefights! :D

SHEPEIRO: tube train is half complete, im trying to get the props modeled and then go back and fix it. the train is the last part of the mission, where the hostaged will be placed and terrorist inside....So shoot a window, through a flashbang, fire at will!

yay another underground station, yes they have become very popular since i started mine. I like yours though it is diffrence in the way it has a train! I thought about making one but liked the idea of seeing the tunnel more. Although for A UT Level it does provide extra running space and hiding space for the players. Just wondered on the second image down (inside the train) the poles, can the player get through there? seem close together?? I'm in the process of converting mine to UnRealED as you have seen it is so exciting to play in your work. I will keep track of this one as I do like it.

Is it me or do the 'light bulb' icons within the editor remind you of UnrealED? Any relation? Looking very good either way. Haven't had a look at the game nor its technology, but its looks top notch. Is Swat 4 based on a commercial engine or is it custom?

Swat 4's rooted in Unreal Warefare, isn't it?

SWAT 4 uses a modified Unreal engine. It looks like unreal 2.5, with the motion blur and ingame effects. Coming from UT2004 there is a few things missing that I haven't found yet. With normal mapping and spec is turned & improved interface menus, it keeps me happy :D until I get to play with Unreal Engine 3.

Interesting. I am as well waiting, salivating, for Unreal Engine 3. Have you worked w/ a licensed version of the engine or just modded w/ the UT2004 engine? What’s lame is that bump mapping and in game motion blur and other camera effects are in the licensed build of the engine, just not exposed to end users :(. Looking good!

looking pretty good so far. Depending on how damaged everything is supposed to look (in terms of a combat zone), it might be worth having certain sections blown up such as blown out lights, debris and explosion marks.

Maybe you could use a scripted trigger or if SWAT4 supports dynamic lighting (I’m assuming it does) you could have some of the lights inside the metro flicker to break up the lighting a bit. What about a ticket machine? Some construction signs / scaffolding?

Looking very good though.

What is this for anyway?

Gamedev & A. Majewsk: thanks guys :)

dkIvalice: thx Dustin for showing me SWAT4. hehe

Currently populating the central area with meshes. I have my list. LOL. Then onto the 1st floor with ticket booths, etc. Then optimization. Hope I can get this completed by end of the month as planned.

Fixed normal map wall problem, thx to Thegodzero

Thanks to everyone that commented. Here are the final level screens, currently working on gameplay for single player and co-op. Graffiti was design by several artists on the MindGem Graphics forum.
