this was a painting project I finished in the summer time, it's a 40*30 inch print. I used a photo reference, but the transition in the emotion I found was a little skewed because of the difference from the feelings of the photographer and my brush strokes.

The figure is great but the background is a little too blank i think.

I think this is just perfect... stark, spooky almost. I like the mass at the left as it battles the eye which fights to continue to the right while the mind wants to go back to the figure. Fantastic.

Nicely done... but umm... i just can't put my finger on it... its something... maybe its just my imagination... oh well it works no matter what... i like it looks like a hard-boiled movie scene... oh yeh... maybe u should try some blood to fill up the white space...err... maybe not... sorry to confuse ya... getting a little skitso on ya lol... u no what keep just the way it is...GOOD JOB :)
