hi all. this is my first model i am working on and im beginning to learn some along the way hehe.. its gonna be a orc or alien or something cause i cant model noses hehe.
still alot of errors in it and i have much left to learn/model
maybe you could help me make a good first model

wow thats really nice for a first model :) just try to study noses and such and imagine how the wires should go! :bounce:

Take a screenshot of your mesh so we can see what your lines look like....looks good for a first model!

here it is .. btw.. is there anyway to see the lines better? i can hardly see them when im modeling :) im modeling in 3dsmax 4 btw.. havent told that :)

hehe thanks :) i sure hope so :) i have done scenes for about 5 months now in max.. this is the first time i tryed character modeling :) its great fun!
i wanna become like Wiro :) hes kinda my favurite 3d-modeller :)
well here is the final of my first model :) hehe i know that the ears and mouth are a bit crappy but i will do it much better now that i know the basics :)

Looks a lot better than your initial post! Much better definition....keep going and keep working at keeping your mesh organized. The more organized and simple it is, the easier and faster it will be to model. And after some good practice it will just come to you! (Or so I hear....;) )
hehe Sandpiper yeah i will keep on now, gonna go look up some reference now and start another model :)

hi guys, its me again :buttrock:
i have decided to keep working on this character for my first project of modeling, texturing and riging... (maybe animating)
its gonna be a sea-fighter with a scuba-kit on his back and much more cool stuff :)
gonna start modeling in about 1 hour. updates to come :)

P.S : try Wiro's tutorial for heads in MAX..it helps a lot if u go with the box modeling technique.:)

btw, it looks VERY high poly with the meshsmooth on i.. its set to 2. And also i have realized that i have made to many polys :) but hey.. you learn something everytime :) :shrug:
