Title: Lotr Troll
Name: Julien Noel Alias Panda
Country: France
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

This is a troll inspired by Lord of the ring movies. Modeled using 3dsMax, color and displacement maps created with photoshop and Wacom tablet.

The final render is composed by different passes joined together in Photoshop to ajust levels, colors and add depth of field.

Comments welcome, thanks!

This is AWSOME! Love the texture on it and the one you've placed on an axe ;) Great piece of modeling and texturing!

good character
the texture is good but the head isn't that quality

really good, id like alot the realistic render, it is beautifully executed .
I agree, the face could be a bit better and some more details in the torse texture would be nice. The white background is not a good idea, (in my opinion).
But if you want to simulate a statue, you reach your objectif :)
really good work!

A bientôt

joli boulot, j'ai reconnu ton image de suite. J'aime toujours autant, tu devrais montrer plus d'image de la bête parce que je sais qu'il y en d'autre :).

En tout cas beau boulot.

5 étoiles pour moi ;)

Sorry I can't tap into a more elaborate vocabulary, but it looks Kick*ss indeed!
Great textures and moddeling; only critic i can give is that i believe a few bodyparts are proportionaly a little off (head seems a little small, and hands & axe a little too big).
But that's dotting the "i"'s: it already looks Awesome! :buttrock:

PS: are you thinking about making animations with this model...?

Love the textures- the skin looks really good, though there is some stretching or something around the shoulders. The face looks a little strange, but all up this is great work!
